It was an absolute honour to photograph Lisa + Martin's special day with my Sister alongside me! Lisa is my Mum's best friend and is basically 'Aunty Lisa' to Beth + I. Seeing Lisa finally find and marry that special person was amazing and I couldn't be happier for them!
Lisa and Martin got married the week before Christmas at Abbey House Hotel, Barrow in Furness - on the edge of the Lake District! It was such a beautiful venue, dressed with festive decorations it really looked stunning! Lisa was walked down the aisle by her Son and my childhood friend Lewis, there are often occasions at many weddings where I am hiding a tear behind my camera but this one was extra special, any guest who didn't know I was a family friend would have thought I was a one emotional photographer!
It was an afternoon ceremony so by the time the I do's were said and done we had almost lost the light, we managed to get outside for a few couple portraits in front of the twinkly lights which looked lovely during blue hour and after the meal we headed back outside for some sparkler snaps which was so much fun! Many glasses of wine were consumed by all and Martin just managed their first dance before getting put to bed before the dance floor was even full haha!
It was a beautiful day from beginning to end and I couldn't be happier for the lovely Lisa + Martin!
